What are the differences between Fairway Vinyl Railings and Fairway Composite Railings?

The Fairway Composite Railings are not only beautiful to the eye... but they are also beautiful to the touch. Fairway Composite Railings have the look and feel of high quality painted wood... but with all the benefits of vinyl.

  • * Durable
  • * Elegant
  • * Beautiful
  • * Extremely low maintenance

The Fairway composite railings come in...

  • * White and khaki deck railings
  • * Over the post deck railings
  • * Post to post deck railings

Rather than give you every kind of Fairway composite railing available, I have
narrowed the information down to what is currently the most popular
with my clients... and "best in class"... which is what follows:

Contour Composite Railing Square Balusters
Cap Rail Composite Railing
Contour Composite Railing Aluminum Balusters
Composite Railing-Aluminum Balusters
Post caps for Composite Railings
Base Trim Rings
Vinyl Post Sleeves
4" composite post
4.5" composite sleeve
5" composite sleeve

Railings today come in pressure treated, vinyl, composite that looks like white vinyl, composite that looks like wood (sort of), Ipe, and even aluminum balusters (those things most of us call pickets).

Is there an easy, simple, straight forward way to price out the different railings? Yup... at least the most popular and "best in class". Just use my way cool Excel Price Worksheet. You have to know the approximate linear feet of railing you will want. A click of the down arrow will give you different labor and material prices for different railings. It is worth the learning curve... so sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

The beautiful Fairway Composite Railing below illustrates both the Post to Post configuration (5" posts) and the Over the Post configuration (4" post).

It also illustrates the GeoDeck "cedar" and GeoDeck "mahogany" decking as well as the Fairway low maintenance vinyl fence.

Note: This is one of the few vinyl railings to receive an ICC-ES (formerly called BOCA) number and therefore receive Fairfax County Building & Plan Review approval for use in Fairfax County. You can download the ICC-ES report (print out two copies to take with you when obtaining a Permit) from the link provided.
